I've often had people ask me what resources I used when I wrote the game engine for Particle. In an effort to help such inquiring minds, I have compiled a listing of the books in my personal game development library. I will note that the listing is not complete, but rather the better of the group. I have read all of these books to some extent: which is to say that some I have cracked open and read enough to get what I needed for the time being, while with others I have read from cover to cover and some I have even read through more than once! I'm also trying to write reviews for these books as a go back through them for a second or third time around. I hope you find the reviews helpful. I promise to try to keep this updated as I find more and more new books which I think people may find useful in their own pursuit of game development. |
